Hey guys!

Today’s drawing went surprisingly well! The prompt is: Rodent. I looked rodent up on Wikipedia because I was wondering if other mammals were in that category like moles and marmots… turns out I was wrong. But there are quite a few mammals in the Order: Rodentia besides mice and rats. I learned so much today, like that I’ve been mispronouncing porcupine all these years (I didn’t realize it had a ‘u’ in it), and I didn’t know what a capybara was until I saw a picture of it, “oh yeah! is that what it’s called?” I also for some reason didn’t know how to spell prairie (wtf?). My mind is full of new info now! 😛

Now you are interested too, aren’t ya? Well according to Wikipedia, mammals in the Order Rodentia are:

• mice
• rats
• squirrels
• prairie dogs
• chipmunks
• chinchillas
• porcupines
• beavers
• guinea pigs
• hamsters
• gerbils
• capybaras

AND… these used to be in the Order Rodentia but are now in Lagomorpha:

• rabbits
• hares
• pikas

I did my best to draw all 15 rodents (and past rodents) hanging out with Kevin. Some are more obvious than others, but I think that I did a pretty good job. 😀

As is my method lately, I scanned that sketch in and used it as an underdrawing and redrew it in Photoshop…

Then I printed it out and inked it.

I was going to add pup photos today, but they are asking for an outing, so I’ve run out of time.
