So speaking of cuteness on this blog… I have been drawing and just recently gotten bitten by the animation bug. The owlets have sidelined me a bit, but I’m still very interested in continuing my studies on animation.

I’m not even sure now how I got here, I just remember that one day I learned that you could animate in Procreate… and suddenly my muse grabbed on and wouldn’t let go…

As great as it is to be able to draw and animate on my iPad, Procreate only has the ability to have one timeline… and so soon, I found that I wanted more than the program was capable of. After some searching, I settled on OpenToonz for my animation software. I watched a million youtube videos learning the software. I also had to get over my aversion to vector graphics… back in the day, I learned vector Bezier curves on Adobe Illustrator, and it was not fun, so I avoided it for years. But somehow, in OpenToonz drawing with Bezier curves is no biggie and I’m actually enjoying it.

So now I’m working to try to animate my monster, Dot.

I’m having fun and excited to see where this goes…
