Trying out the new (to me) block editor… (Shelter in Place: Day 396)…

I want to apologize for being so frustrated in my last post. A kind reader gave me the hidden url to create my blog post in the classic editor (again, Thank you). But I knew after walking away from my last post that I would need to learn the new (to me) block editor. My husband teased me by showing me a XKCD comic talking about that very thing… and he’s right. And I knew it at the time, but I was just too frustrated at the time to see it.

So today, I’m learning the new (to me) block editor. I found a little tutorial that will hopefully help me along the way.

Ok… where was I last time…

Zentangle…

Ah yes, I was doing a little show and tell… for the 3rd class in the overlap series, we created this zentangle… lots of overlap, I added a touch of color to help distinguish the layers…

This is a neat feature of the block editor… you can compare two images…

Behold, with and without the added color…

More Zentangle…

We started a new series on Friday… now we are working on Infographics. We are exploring the tangle Waybop, this is as far as we got…

Inktober…

The past two days I’ve returned to coloring my Inktober monsters… Mr. Warheads just hasn’t been appealing to me… I’ve colored him several times and I still just didn’t like what I saw so, I decided to change him up. I think that it was because he just seemed like a man with a tie and 5 eyes, but didn’t seem very much like a monster… so I tried out a few things and I’m liking this change… I was thinking he kind of looks like frosting man… perhaps he’s mustard man, or even nacho man. I guess he does still look like a man now covered in some kind of goo… but I don’t know, I think I like him better without the tie…

Pups! …

Well, this new (to me) block editor, is a bit of a learning curve, but it does have some interesting elements to it. I think I’ll sign off now… but first we need photos of the pups…

Stay safe everyone! And wash your hands! 🙂
Until next time…
