Hey guys!

I’ve been playing around with cross-hatching, I’m still not confident in my skills. And I know I still need to work out how to do it in a way that I like what I’m seeing on the page.

Over the last few days, I’ve been working on my drawing of Kevin in the grass again. I still need to figure out what to do with the sky, and I think my darks might be too dark. Apparently it’s high noon! Hahaha… anyway here’s what I’ve got so far… I just LOVE the ladybug in the foreground!

I’m getting rather frustrated with this cross-hatching technique, so my husband suggested I practice on shapes… but since I get bored easily… I had to have Kevin help me. I decided to try a zentangle pattern that I like for the hatching and I think I like it better than what I’ve been doing…

I’ve had a massive migraine today, I waited too long to take some Excedrine so I ended up getting nauseous earlier. I’ve had a nap and some ramen, I’m feeling a bit better now, but the headache is still there so I’m gonna sign off early today. Hopefully, tomorrow I’ll feel better and can be more productive.
