Inktober 2019, Days 20 & 21…

Turtle, Chunky, Toblerone, and Candy Corn

Time is funny, I ended up finding a bit of time Saturday evening to work on 4 monsters in dip ink…

But then the next day, I had just a tiny bit of time to draw monster #20 once…

Today, I played catch-up and worked on monster #20 some more, I just couldn’t wrap my head around his shoes at 3/4 angle… until I got out the props…

Then I started working on monster #21, she is another monster that I didn’t quite like, but couldn’t put my finger on why when I created her last year… so today, I reduced her face into a more wormlike shape/size, added some antennae, and a few more swirls… I think she looks much better now. For some reason, I think that huge face reminded me of a Dr. Who episode (Lady Cassandra O’Brien.Δ17), ahahahaha! Anyway, I drew her a couple times today and I think I like her now…

I spent a little bit of time trying to figure out what their candy names would be… For Frankenstein’s monster I chose Andes because it is kinda shaped like him and is green… look, it isn’t easy coming up with these names, I have to find some kind of reason… I looked at various green candy and Andes jumped out at me. Heh. For the swirly butterfly, I chose Lolli because the only thing I could find while searching for delicate, lacy, and swirly was a swirl lollipop… and Lolli sounds cute.

Puppies! Ever notice how there just aren’t enough beds for your pups? They sometimes lay under my art desk, so I added a blanket and they seem to love it. 🙂 Ok, in the picture they look suspicious, but that’s because I’m sneaking up on them to take the picture…

Until next time…
