Whew! I made it! I was able to draw 31 monsters for Inktober, woohoo! 😀
For Day 31 I thought the monster should be in the Halloween spirit… so it is a mummy 🙂 The shape is a circle and a rectangle…
The finished page turned out to be 16×20 inches (four sheets of 8×10)! Wow, that was bigger than I thought this project would be. This morning I knew I had a lot to do to finish by sundown today… I took a quick snap…
I had six monsters to create thick borders on the shadow side, fill in with color, and then shade with colored pencils, then finally highlight with gel pens… the thick lines and the filling-in required drying time, so I had to keep walking away and coming back later… but I actually finished it, and I’m so happy! 😀
It was a long journey and some days I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to catch up, but I’m glad for all the bumps in the road that helped me learn and to remind myself that this was for fun.
