I was finally able to draw late yesterday, well after my post was published. But I think it helped to give myself a bit of a pep talk prior to drawing.
Inktober, day ten’s shape was a rounded trapezoid. First I drew the eyes and mouth, then the feet… at some point I saw a cup of noodles, so I added noodles, which, by the way, were fun to draw. 😀
For the ink, I used syo-ro (pine tree dew, gray turquoise) with both a Maru (mapping) soft nip and a G nib.
Day eleven’s shape was, oddly, also a rounded trapezoid but with another on top upside down. I’ve been working on this one all day, and I’m not quite finished, but I have an appointment at 7, and I didn’t want to rush it, so I’ll finish it up probably tomorrow.
The hard part once I have several monsters on the main page is trying to figure out how it will fit… so I decided to get out some tracing paper and figure out how the tentacles would work around the other monsters…
Once I felt it was going to work, I went to my trial page to see how it would do with dip ink…
Looking good. 🙂 I’ll probably tweak a few parts, but I like how it fits. Like I said, I didn’t get to the final drawing on this one yet… it’ll be in the next post. Welp, I gotta get going!
Until next time…
