Good Morning! 😀
I forgot to mention in my last post that GIMP just recently had a major upgrade (GIMP 2.10) it’s been a long time in the making. It now has one of the features I’ve been waiting for, canvas rotation! Woohoo! Another cool new feature is that the brushes from MyPaint have been added, which is awesome because I really like some of those brushes.
I’m still trying to figure out a few things like, how to install the GPS (Gimp Paint Studio) brushes and G’Mic, because now that the foundation has changed I don’t know if those add-ons will even work in the new version. But I know that lots of people are trying to figure it out too so the answer is on (or will be soon) the internet somewhere.
In the meantime, I’m enjoying exploring some of the changes. If you are a longtime reader of my blog you know that I am a big advocate of GIMP, I jumped in with both feet a few years ago and posted tutorials as I learned from a photographer’s perspective. In the last few months I’ve been learning GIMP from a drawing/painting perspective.
Last night I finished up one of my WIPs!
Wooooo! I uploaded it to my online store at Redbubble… it is now available as various items. Go check it out, if you have a few minutes. 😀
Until next time…
