I’ve decided to do Inktober this month. 😀 Find out more about Inktober, here. Basically it’s a month long encouragement to draw every day.
Today I decided to incorporate both the official prompt list and the zentangle prompt list.
Today’s prompts were Blind and the tangle Florz…
Closeup…
Ok… so it turns out that bats aren’t actually Blind… but since there is the phrase ‘blind as a bat’ and it is nearly Halloween and bats are definitely a staple of this holiday… I had to draw it. Just look how cute it is! Oh and I also put the zentangle pattern Florz behind it… but I forgot to put something for the tail to hang from, so it looked like the bat was just laying on the floor… which is not what I had in mind at all. In a bit of a quandary, I remembered something I had just learned about a day or two ago called Tranzending. Tranzending is a method of adding another layer to your zentangle tile using a thicker pen, white charcoal pencil, and a graphite pencil… I created a line/cord for the bat to hang from using this method and I think it worked out pretty good.
Tools Used:
- Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencil (4H, 3B)
- Sakura Pigma Micron Pen (01)
- Copic Multiliner (black) (0.5)
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen
- General’s Charcoal White pencil

For my husband’s morning tea, I practiced Florz…
Until next time…
