This week’s Diva Challenge was rather interesting… create a pattern (fragment) that will go into a grid (reticula) and get repeated, then see what happens…
I tried out a couple of ideas before I got something close to what I was trying to do…
At first I was trying to use circles and arched tentacles… but when I went to put in in the grid, I kinda lost my place… it was neat, but I wanted to see what else I could do. ย Then I tried a large circle, then several small circles diagonally up, then connected with a curved line. ย Interesting… but again I got lost on my implementing of it. ย The third time I paid special attention to where the center four should fall and then those around it… then I decided to add a diagonal line and was surprised and thrilled that it could connect to the curved lines and make an interesting shape… I was very happy. ๐ ย and created this tile…
I like this tile so much that I decided to name my pattern and create a step-out. ย The pattern reminds me of radio waves, thus I named it Radio-Wav… Enjoy! ๐
UPDATE: I played around a little bit more with this pattern and created another tile. ๐
Until next time…

Thanks, Ria! ๐ I hope you try out the step-out. ๐
I found I did better when I was playing than what I did when I actually used a tile LOL! Your new tangle is a fun one and looks great as a fragment!
Thanks, Jean! ๐ Heehee… yeah sometimes the practice works out better than the actual tile.

What is a Diva Challenge?
Diva Challenge is a weekly Zentangle challenge… the blogger’s blog name is “I am the Diva“… so I call it the Diva Challenge… she just refers to it as Weekly Challenge. Hope that helps.
Ah! I thought it was only for Divas!
Haha! ๐ No, anyone can participate in the Zentangle weekly challenge given by I am the Diva! Besides, I’ve never had the confidence to claim to be a Diva, and I’m pretty sure no one wants to hear me sing – it sounds like someone is strangling a cat! Haha! ๐
Oh no, no, no. no! If there anyone who is a bad singer, that is me… I claim that label for myself!
Heehee! Well then I think we are both in that club. ๐ But if you wanted to see what other people do with a zentangle pattern, go check out her blog, she posts every Monday (Canada) a little about her week, then a zentangle challenge at the end of the post.
I will indeed check her out!
