So I’ve been feeling under the weather for a while, and on top of that I’ve been really feeling the need to “unplug”. Do you know what you can do when you don’t feel well, and/or it’s raining, and you don’t want to be on your computer? Zentagle! That’s what. 😀
I’ve done some Zentangle inspired designs digitally and analog that I’ve posted about before… but I decided to go to the next level in my learning… I bought a few books (Totally Tangled, Yoga for Your Brain, Time to Tangle with Colors) and some art supplies and have been experimenting and having fun the last few days… I thought I’d share.
First I wanted to play with color ( I purchased a grayscale set of water-based brush/pens) and created this little cat (on a 3.5 inch square artist tile) …
Then I played around with trying to color the paper first, then tangled on it, and then used more color to accent it… my inspiration was a little vase of flowers I have on my table (on a 3.5 inch square artist tile)…
And lastly, today I played around with combining tangles to create new tangles and this is what I ended up with (on a piece of 5×7 inch watercolor printer paper)…
I’m having a lot of fun and feeling rather creative doing these tangles. If you’d like, check out these webpages for more info (here and here).
Until next time…
