I noticed this little guy checking out my Lantana plant and ran to get my 180mm macro lens…
As I was culling my photos, I started thinking about the great changes a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly or moth.
Then I started to wonder whether this was a butterfly or a moth. My mind immediately called it a moth because it isn’t brightly colored. But that isn’t how you tell the difference.
Actually, if I understand correctly, this is a butterfly because it was active during the day and it holds its wings upright. Moths are active at night and hold their wings out to the side. Now you know. 🙂
Until next time…
